Rollin!
Thinking we could leave early and see some of Dallas was wrong of us, as it was the same weekend as the Red River Shoot Out, Texas Longhorns VS. Oklahoma Sooners. Took us 2 1/2 hours to get 10 miles. We decided to go to the center and get started on the car instead of staying in traffic. At 5 the doors opened and the people rushed in...NOS stage was jumping with model contest and go-go dancers, the Boost Mobile stage was hitting the bass lines with their group line ups, and the Suzuki stage had dancers twirling about. NOS was giving out shots of nos, the National gaurds car sitting pretty, but the fallin soldier car did not make it. The cars looked great, the people for the most part was excited as if it was christmas. Every teenager boy at the hot import nights dreamed of a different beauiful model. Time for the awards 10:00, Cops hoped hin wasnt ready so their guys stalled on the stage for nearly and hour, then lights come on and the trophies were awarded, all well deserving of them....
After Show!
Midnight now and the intercom sounds off, All contestants have 60 minutes to clear the building, everyone starts hooking up batteries and getting their cars ready to be told, no one is allowed to move till the last spectator is gone, that is fine but we have till 1 to get out and its already 20 after and they still havent got everyone out, then a voice from the ceiling lets every car know..." if you are not out in 60 minutes, your car will be available for pick-up Monday during regular business hours." . A car about three down cranks up, and an officer let him know if he moves he will be ticketed, and we hear " give me the ticket now, I live in Georgia and i have to be at work Monday". Luckily for him and everyone another announcement is made that the cars can leave, and it is the scene from Fast and the Furious 2 as every car busts out of that place looking for a gas station.....
The entertainment was great, the Show was awesome, and the location was killer. HIN....PROS......quickly parked, beautiful trophies, good setup, and senior staff that recognized problems and tended to them asap. Will i go again! now that i know what to expect yes i would go again, it is a awesome show, even though it sounded like hell the show it self was supurb.
