For the 5th stop of Drop Jaw Mag’s Annual winter tour we rolled into Charleston, Sc. It was a cold, rainy and generally unforgiving day that nobody in their right mind would venture out into...unless they love cars as much as we do!

January 19 of 2008 brought out the lowcountry’s hardcore minitruckers, sport compact enthusiasts and lowriders for what may be the coldest wettest show that I’ve ever been to. With temps hovering around 40 degrees and constant rain, the grand opening of the the newest location of RNR Custom Wheels  on Dorchester Rd in North Charleston was still a great success.

We were treated to an outstanding hydraulic dance-off between an S-dime pickup, feverishly worked over by a backwards hat wearing minor and a green  Cutt Supreme known as the “Hijacker.”  Both vehicles got crazy air and constant reminders of the laws of gravity as headlights flew and cars hopped off the pavement into both grass and a field of smiling camera phone wielding  enthusiasts. Definitely not a show to be missed next year!!
