This was a 2 day show, October 3rd and 4th, in Bowling Green, KY. We were only able to attended to the Sunday show. There were alot of other Shows for them to contend with in KY and TN this weekend. Such as the Meca World Finals in Nashville and the Mustang Nationals at Beech Bend. Both were big draws for the competition. The host stated they were having this show in our area now instead of California since he now lives on the East Coast.
The weather was cold and nasty, but we still had a good stream adults and families. There were 129 vehicles total, entered in the show for both days. There was drive by judging. They had all types of vehicles entered, from "in construction" "tuners", "trailer queens", "mini trucks", "4X4s"motorcycles. However they turned away "Street Rods" and "Rat Rods".
They did not have individual classes, they opted for the "Top 25" awards and a couple of specialty awards. Such as "Club Participation", "best engine", "best of show" and they presented the "T.J. Howard award", he has passed away since the last show and used to work with the show. Best club participation goes to "Twisted Intentions" from the Nashville Area.
The show was abruptly interruptedat 1:30ish due to a big thunderstorm coming into the area. They moved all the entrants into the auditorium for cover and the awards ceremony.
A good time was had by all to spite the storm.
